February Vacation

Due to the number of snow days this trimester, you will have work to complete over February vacation You will be given a packet of the required work on Friday February 17th and the expectation is that you return to school with the work completed. We will then do a review and take the assessment on similar polygons and triangles.

Your first vacation assignment is on proving triangles are similar. You will watch the video Proving Triangles Similar. You will use your note taker and complete the notes and then do the bookwork. Completed notes are under the video link--> Proving Triangles Similar Notes. These are also explained in your textbook. For homework you will complete #'s 6-26 on page 492. You will also complete the packet on similar triangles.

Your second vacation assignment is on proportions and similar triangles. You will watch the video Proportions and similar Triangles (Up until the mid segment part approx. 10 minutes). The second video is a faster explanation and includes a segment on proportionality of parallel lines cut by a transversal, you don't need the mid segment portion. You should also watch the Triangle Angle Bisector Theorem video. You will use your note taker and complete the notes and then do the bookwork. These are also explained in your textbook. For homework you will complete #'s 3-28 on page 502.
